POSTCARDS (I): WINTERTHUR / SCHWEIZ

Postkarte Winterthur Volkshaus

Dem Schweizer Städtchen Winterthur droht eine einmalige Chance. Per Verwaltungsbeschwerde hat der Heimatschutz den Abbruch des 1938 erbauten Volkshauses gestoppt. Die Wiederherstellung des Gebäudes ist angesichts fehlender finanzieller Mittel unwahrscheinlich. Experten empfehlen, die Ruine als zeitgemässes Denkmal der Winterthurer Arbeiterbewegung und touristische Attraktion zu erhalten. Hier unser Entwurf für die Postkarte!

SALTICIDAE OF THE WORLD

They have beautiful names as

Abracadabrella, Asianellus, Corambis, Eolinus, Lamottella, Mopsus mormon, Myrmarachne, Platycryptus, Udvardya, Yepoella, Zenodorus

… and they are charming animals that look up and watch you. Their excellent vision allows them to hunt as much as cats do.

Here is a complete taxonomic catalogue of them by Jerzy Proszynski (Museum and Institute of Zoology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warszawa).

Time goes by. After running Greymatter for 8 months we changed to WordPress. Greymatter is like an old English sports car: powerful but there are no spare parts available, e.g. in case of a crash. Guess if we had one!
