Our Weekly Postcard (LXXI)

There was so much kerfuffle over the last days. Some keywords:

- thumb up gif Sen. Barack Obama in Berlin (see Update below!)
- thumb down gif Swiss Army’s commander-in-chief suspended, NOT fired as he should have been
- thumb down gif 2 Swiss nationals arrested by Libyan police as an act of retaliation

So we need some relaxation time. Good weather provided, we will make a ride on river Rhein in our small rubber boat. But without going over waterfalls because we want to be back here on Monday.

Gaming: Tower-Defense-Spiele immer beliebter

Diesem Genre wird oft ein hohes Suchtpotenzial zugeschrieben, steht im Tower-Defense-Wiki.

Ja, das hat was! Doch wo Licht ist, ist auch Schatten…

Beispiel Vector TDX, auf das wir am 5. Februar 2008 hingewiesen hatten mit den Worten: hervorragendes Tower-Defense-Spiel… Viele Male haben wir seither versucht, über Level 32 hinauszukommen – es gelang uns nicht. Ein Dokumentarfilmer hat es zwar noch 5 Levels weiter gebracht, glaubt aber (auch) nicht mehr an einen möglichen Endsieg (via 60 Levels) und schreibt:

I will not believe anyone has cleared level 37 unless they provide re-creatable proof.

        

Frustrierend! Zum Glück gibt es aber noch viele andere TD-Spiele. Homo Sapiens Internetus hat eben eine Liste mit 125+ von ihnen veröffentlicht. Und wir versuchen uns gegenwärtig an BUDAPEST DEFENDERS von TNT. Hervorragend.
