Our Weekly Postcard (LXXVIII)
Looks like the first snow will come this evening here in Switzerland. We have to wax our skis and to look for the snow shovels. I suppose that they are somewhere in the cellar.
Winter is what we were meant for, and we welcome it, Garrison Keillor wrote yesterday. He is right, and we are also just fine but currently don’t have time for blogging.
We try to be back on Sunday or Monday. Have a nice weekend.
Backside is a song you all know: Les neiges du Kilimandjaro (The Snows of Kilimanjaro), sung by Pascal Danel.

Swing, Monkey, Swing
1937. Rare Harman-Ising cartoon with a magnificent band on the soundtrack (probably Les Hite and his Orchestra) in a hot band number and a superb rendering of St. Louis Blues, with a persiflage Bessie Smith vocal.
