Internet / Zensur / VAE: Harmlose Schweizer Website gesperrt

Tagesanzeiger.ch/Newsnetz berichtete gestern, Tagesanzeiger.ch/Newsnetz sei vom Internetprovider du in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten gesperrt worden:

Statt neuen Nachrichten aus der Schweiz ist bloss eine Comicfigur mit Teetasse zu sehen.

Man rätselt über die Gründe – umso mehr als Blick.ch lustigerweise nicht gesperrt ist. Sehr wahrscheinlich handelt es sich bloss um einen Kollateralschaden: Laut du kann es im Rahmen der Zensur-Massnahmen vorkommen, dass gewisse harmlose Seiten irrtümlicherweise geblockt werden.

Ein in Dubai lebender Auslandschweizer hat bei du um eine De-Blockierung der Website angesucht – bis dato leider ohne Erfolg.

Dear Dog Lovers – It was in 1873 that…

Dog… here in the dark and dank Kesslerloch cave in northern Switzerland (picture from Wikipedia):

… some ol’ bones were found. At that time, nobody knew what was going on — but now the truth came out:

Those ol’ bones are quite likely the oldest known remains of man’s best friend.

The Kesslerloch cave is not much more than just at a stone’s throw away from the Paperholic office. I am pretty sure that there are more interesting archaeological finds to be made, and in the next days I will order some shovels and gumboots.

Indeed, thrilling days ahead. So stay tuned, pls, I will inform you of any progress in this matter as soon as possible.
