+++Schweiz/Formel-1: Rennstrecke im Oberen Emmental projektiert+++

EggiwilDie erste neue Schweizer Formel-1-Rennstrecke soll Fahrern und Publikum die Naturschönheiten des Emmentals vor Augen führen. Geplant ist zudem eine Teststrecke samt Laboratorien in der Gemeinde Eggiwil (Bild: Ortstafel und Panorama-Ausschnitt).

Von saudischer Seite wurde die Lieferung von hochwertigem Benzin zum Spezialpreis zugesichert. Im Gegenzug wird die Gemeinde Eggiwil eine repräsentative Moschee zwischen dem Restaurant Bären und dem Alterszentrum errichten; auch haben die Behörden den Bau einer Terrassensiedlung für ausländische VIP durch ein saudisches Konsortium auf dem Eggiwiler Berg abgesegnet.

Die Gemeinde hat sich der Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet – so wird der Steuerfuss auf 0.2 gesenkt -, eröffnet eine Fachhochschule für interreligiöse Verständigung und baut ihr Wanderweg-Netz aus. Trotzdem gibt es massive Opposition in der Bevölkerung, und der Gemeinderat hat deshalb beschlossen, Anfang November 2007 einen Tag der Begegnung von Neuzuzügern und Investoren mit der Bevölkerung zu organisieren. Einschlägige Kreise sehen diesem Tag mit Interesse, aber auch Besorgnis entgegen. Befürchtet werden sogar kriminelle Aktivitäten.

While in beta, the service will be free.
