Gulf Oil Desaster: Möglicherweise weiteres Leck

Nicht im Auffangzylinder (aka Glocke und Kappe) über dem Bohrloch – sondern einige Meter vom Bohrloch entfernt. Die Presse, Wien, berichtet – wie auch zahlreiche andere Medien – von einem ‘offenbar neuen Leck’:

Es könnte sich laut Wikinews allerdings um ein altes, bereits früher gesichtetes Leck handeln:

Oil spewing from crack in seafloor of Gulf of Mexico was fifty feet from Deepwater Horizon well (19. Juli)

Sollte dieses neue-alte Leck existieren (oder existiert haben): Es könnte ein natürliches Leck sein oder ein Leck im Gefolge der BP-Bohrung – was wiederum bedeuten könnte: die Tektonik (> Erdmantel) wurde durch die Bohrung in Mitleidenschaft gezogen.

Pessimisten dürfen nun befürchten, dass der Meeresgrund in einem bestimmten Umkreis um die Bohrstelle immer löchriger wird oder dass sich – plopp! – plötzlich ein Krater bildet, aus dem das Öl der angebohrten Lagerstätte so lange in den Golf von Mexiko schiesst, bis sich Wasserdruck und Öldruck die Waage halten. Ein quasi epochales Ereignis.

Sei es drum!

Mehr als Abwarten und Hoffen kann man nicht…

…dem Kleinsparer sei allerdings noch Aufmerksamkeit empfohlen betreffend: [SMI: Transocean N]; [UK:BP] und – etwas später im heutigen Tagesverlauf und sofern nicht bereits am vergangenen Freitag die (empfohlene) Stop-Loss-Order bei $37.00 zum Einsatz gekommen war – [NYSE: BP].
