Because today is 1st of August, and 1st of August is national holiday in Switzerland. In the afternoon we will visit the Swiss Navy on Lake Lucerne. We were said that there are one or two patrol boats out to protect Rutliwiese against terroristic forces, and Rutliwiese is the place where Switzerland was founded many years ago.
We hope that all will go well. If so – back tomorrow!

Dank Riz ist schon vorgekocht, was wir den Unterschriftensammlern der SVP als nettes Dankeschön auftischen werden, wenn sie uns morgen am Nationalfeiertag besuchen [#] kommen.

Our Weekly Postcard (LII)

Germany’s DAX Stock Index is coming down after topping 8.000 points some days before. Now, it’s time for you to buy. We think that the outlook keeps getting better.
But never overestimate the money. There are other important things in life – punk music, for instance. Listen to Sham 69, again:
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Only a shortened version, of course. Here you can find more punk and new wave music. Back on Monday (I hope so
)!

Our Weekly Postcard (LI)

What I am reading this upcoming weekend. A plague of mosquitoes is announced for Switzerland, and one has to be informed about environmental issues.
In front of the office window, I detected a weird building structure (picture left) about 4 inches high. We decided not to destroy it. Perhaps, a good citizen journalism story is evolving here.
End of blogging by Paperholic for this week. There are other and better blogs to read, i.e. SKIMBLE (a distinctive political commenter), Reto Stauss from nachhaltigBeobachtet (a distinctive environmentalist, but writing in German), and – last but not least – The Cartoonist (aka Mr Zeigermann, a distinctive art director and also a collector of old book covers). Mr Zeigermann just gave an interview where he advises bloggers not to publish private diaries and intimate feelings.
Yup. Until Monday!
