German Opel worker, quoted by Al Jazeera in: GM to axe 10,000 Opel jobs (November 4):

General Motors, the US carmaker, has said it plans to cut about 10,000 jobs at Opel, its European division, a day after it announced that it had decided to retain control of the unit.
