We will also have a sharper look at the FUTUROSITY Theme.

THX, Claudio!

At the moment - and sticking in the muddle ("Aye Sir, Aye!") - it just feels like it's time for a change.

Thank you very much! That's a real encouragement!

Like Coudal, but "having two columns with an equal width", as you said. Or a sort of magazine theme like Brian Gardner's

http://www.revolutiontheme.com/demo/

But, typically, the good magazine themes are not for free. Okay, we could afford one at the moment, but I think a paid theme would be contrary to the basic ideas of blogging. And a beautiful theme is only half way there... we also need "better" content then.

I think the question is if you can update (and date) those sidebars as easily as the main column. However, it could look quite nice, having two columns with an equal width and a narrow sidebar to the left or right. But then, what do I know of wordpress - nothing, basically.

Thx for your suggestion.

Yes, that would be possible with WP. There are even "themes" with 4 or 5 columns (1 main + 3 sidebars and 4 sidebars respectively).

I would call that a "baroque" solution - personally, I am a fan of the less-is-more-principle. But why not? In any case, we will discuss your suggestion.

First of all, thanks for the plug. Then, why not combine (1) + (2)? Have a two-column blog, left column for pictures, captions & links, right column for long(ish) texts? And a third, narrow column for links, archives etc. Although I don't know if this is physically possible with Wordpress or any other blogging software, since you'll then need to update both columns independently from each other. However, Paperholic should definitely carry on.
