Historical Photographs of China
As well as a variety of modestly sized collections, this project has worked with a number of larger bodies of material including photographs related to the Chinese Maritime Customs Service, diplomat Foo Ping-sheung (Fu Bingchang), holdings relating to the Shanghai Municipal Police, the G. Warren Swire collection, and the J.C. Oswald collection (SOAS).

Schon wieder ein Bluesabend…
… dieses Mal in Blogville.
In der Blogosphäre herrscht derzeit ein merkwürdig melancholischer Ton, in dem sicherlich auch Enttäuschung mitschwingt. Jene frühlingsduftende Aufbruchsstimmung, welche die verbliebenen Hühneraugendoktoren des Web-Tuh-Oh noch immer unverdrossen auf Vorstandsetagen zu verbreiten suchen, um Bizziness-Blogs und Suchmaschinen-Optimierungsstrategien (SEO’s) zu verkaufen, die ist ‘bei Bloggers daheim’ gar nicht mehr anzutreffen.
Und:
Das ist der Grund, weshalb sich das Web-Tuh-Oh nicht mit Marketing-Wann-Oh adäquat erfassen lässt. Sein Sinn ist kein primär ökonomischer, es gehorcht einem kulturellen Kodex.
Und:
Beide möchten im Grunde die Siele dichthalten, damit der Pöbel nicht nachrücken soll.
