Vintage Photography: People Pictures
The Art of the Conceptual Photograph 1915–1920. Exhibition at Carl Hammer Gallery, Chicago, Illinois (through May 26):
The so-called living photographs and living insignia of Arthur Mole [and John Thomas] are photo-literal attempts to recover the old image of national identity at the very moment when the United States entered the Great War in 1917.

Music: Take Away Shows
Celebrating one year of Take Away Shows (site also in French: Concerts à emporter) – the weekly video podcast produced by the French weblog La Blogothèque:
Sessions are always filmed as a unique shot, without any cut, recorded live. We usually haven’t much time to record them, so the groups have to be spontaneous, to improvise, play with what they have with them, and with their environment, whether there’s a public or not.
Partner for the english version is the American site Daytrotter.
As an example, shot #30 with rock band Alamo Race Track from Amsterdam, taken in a hotel room in Paris. Amazing!

Stay tuned! Until Monday.
