Winter in Central Europe, accidents in the French Alps – as documented in this photo from our film stills archive.

Many French citizens are now struggling with snow and ice. No wonder that they are feeling more and more uncomfortable with the behavior of their president who is in Egypt* with Carla Bruni, his supermodel-turned-singer girlfriend (- daily Telegraph.uk), for a Christmas break.

Of course, we sympathize with them!

*Note: The actual weather in Cairo is sunny with 17°C (62°F).
