DAS ERSTAUNT UNS JETZT DOCH SEHR (UND MACHT UNS KUMMER)

… wie Dienstraum.com (bis dato oggi 13.00 Uhr) zuletzt am 14. März upgedated hat. Laut journalisten.ch soll es sich ja um einen Strassenfeger-Blog handeln mit monatlich 15 000 bis 20 000 Besuchern.

PS: Wir hatten ja versprochen, einige Chalets zu besuchen. Noch drehen wir unsere Runden und prüfen die Bausubstanzen, bevor wir mit dem Abbrechen beginnen.

DER TAG GEHT

Der meteorologische Frühjahrsbeginn war von zwei Ereignissen geprägt:

- Nach fast achtstündigem Unterbruch ist es unserem Provider gelungen, den Server wieder anzuwerfen.
- Nach fast hundertjährigem Verbot ist es in der Schweiz wieder legal, Absinth zu trinken.

Russian watches

Tradition can be a very powerful force! Benefiting from the knowledge and craftsmanship developped during the Soviet era, the Russian watch manufacturers of today are masters of their trade and can enjoy a good reputation around the world. On the website of Sadcom (an online store based in Potomac Falls, Virginia, USA) you can find watches from Russian manufacturers like Vostok, Poljot, Raketa, Slava, Pobeda, Molnija, but also thousands of images of various Russian and Soviet memorabilia items like the photo below that was taken at the entrance to the 1st Russian Aero Exhibition in St.Petersburg in fall 1912, or the posters School of Patriotism and Participate in the Lottery from the year 1990.

Indeed, most peculiar, Russian President Vladimir Putin wears a US-Dollar 60 000 Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar watch, as PRAVDA.RU reports on Feb 17. The prize of the watch would be equal to the amount of the president’s annual wages. The newspaper characterizes US President George W. Bush as a very modest person: he wears a US-Dollar 50 Timex Indiglo watch. Last but not least, having a great passion for watches Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi wears a US-Dollar 540 000 Constantin Vacheron watch.
